Amazon said it is rolling out its Amazon Now rapid delivery service to dozens of cities this year after successful tests in a handful of major metropolitan markets.
The company said delivery in 30 minutes or less will cost $3.99 per order for Amazon Prime members and $13.99 per order for non-members, plus a surcharge for orders under $15.
Rollouts are currently underway in Austin, Houston, Minneapolis, Orlando, Phoenix, Denver and Oklahoma City, and Amazon said it expects to offer the service to “tens of millions” of consumers across the country by year-end. The company previously tested 30-minute delivery of some items in some areas of Atlanta, Dallas–Fort Worth, Philadelphia and Seattle.
