He is a senior consultant at Benefit Plan Consultants Hawaii, Incorporated, which provides consulting and actuarial services for employee benefit plans. The firm specializes in health and pension benefits for jointly managed trust funds and corporate, association and public employee benefit plans. He has been active in the employee benefits field for 22 years and has an additional 16 years of property and casualty insurance experience in claims investigations, underwriting, marketing, reinsurance and administration.

Meredith received her B.A. in comparative religion from Boston University in 1977 and her M.B.A. in finance from New York University in 1985. She is also a chartered financial analyst and is married with two sons, ages 21 and 23.
